Moody Dainty Flowers Rice Paper Napkin

NEW from our silk rice paper napkins collection: these moody, elegant, and almost translucent when applied dainty flowers rice (washi) paper vintage cocktail napkins are a must for your next decoupage, DIY, or chine collee project. These exquisite treasures are made in Japan by artisanal studios from thin cooked Tengu-jo rice paper made of unbleached kozo and abaca fibers. They are silk printed and/or gold gilt stamped with soy based non-toxic inks, the closest you’ll get to original antique block prints. Just magnificent! The napkins are almost translucent, single ply and have a very smooth, silk surface and a satin-like sheen that becomes even more apparent when decoupaged with nori paste or high quality matte medium. The skill required to make these virtually flawless creations is second only to their beauty but they are the easiest to decoupage. They are much, much stronger than regular paper napkins, and will not tear or wrinkle. They can be lifted and repositioned without a problem and with no tear. They are even reversible if applied with nori or rice starch decoupage medium, yep if you want to reuse the silk napkin for a different project (and if you used nori paste for medium), just wet the surface, let it set and gently lift. Let it dry and you can reapply to a new project. ***Size is ~13” open (measured between scalloped edge tips)** Price is for two (2) individual rice paper napkins folded.
